GeoDecisions, an information technology company engaged in geospatial solutions, has secured a contract from Missouri American Water (MOAW) to execute a geographic information system (GIS) conversion project in the US.
The GIS conversion project will include converting water mains, hydrants, valves, and fittings, etc., as well as facility data and associated attributes from MicroStation to Esri ArcGIS 10.
GeoDecisions will combine the American Water database model with its experience to develop custom GIS conversion tools.
MOAW supplies high-quality water and wastewater service to approximately 1.5 million people in about 100 communities.
The GIS conversion project, which will cover about 405 square miles throughout the St Louis County area, will improve its service to its clients and enhance production and quality.
