AUM will upgrade data security and productivity with UbiStor for access to its SafeStor data backup services, and with OPEX Corp’s AS7200i Mail automation and digital scanning equipment.
AUM has partnered with OPEX Corp for AS7200i Document Capture Platform with Integrated Mail Extraction to increase efficiency within its bill processing unit.
This technology is anticipated to combine mail opening and extraction with image capture and classification.
The company said that in-line processing allows for printing an audit trail and sorting mail contents without a separate prep process, and this allows for significantly less paper handling, fewer labor intensive tasks, lower operational costs, and improved quality.
AUM chief financial officer Bob Malpasuto said that the safety and reliability of the company’s data is paramount to its client’s energy management operations.
"UbiStor’s SafeStor product and its Tier 4 Security Centers offer six levels of data encryption and security, and the data is backed up to a high-security data center and then replicated to a second high-security data center," Malpasuto said.
