The charging stations are supported by the OpConnect wireless communications network and will operate under a long-term advertising supported agreement.

Under the mutually beneficial agreement, the parties will secure revenue generated as a result of advertising displayed on the charging stations, in addition to usage revenue from EV drivers.

DoubleTree general manager Steve Faulstick said the partnership is a natural fit in the progression of sustainable amenities offered to DoubleTree’s guests, neighbors and team members.

"The nominal fee will ensure that we are able to maintain a long-standing commitment to offering this service to the neighborhood," Faulstick said.

According to OpConnect, the charging stations complement the free covered bicycle parking and complimentary guest bike rentals giving guests and neighbors alternative transportation options when arriving in the Lloyd District.

OpConnect, a subsidiary of ISO9001 certified Optimization Technologies, is engaged in EV charging station technology.
