Located 315km north of Luanda, the Soyo facility will ship out its first LNG cargo this quarter and has an annual capacity to produce about 5.2m tons of LNG and related gas liquid products.
As part of the agreement, GE will provide two gas turbine-driven compression trains and ensure availability of an on-site team of its field services engineers.
The agreement also covers any additional plant equipment as well.
The application of effective maintenance procedures coupled with the usage of original manufacturer spare parts will drive optimized performance. Day-to-day operations will be handled by a local contractual performance manager.
Angola LNG is a consortium of some of the leading oil and gas companies of the world, including Sonangol, Chevron, BP, Total and ENI.
