Sovello Canada said that the first shipments are expected to commence in Q1 this year.
Under the strategic manufacturing alliance with Celestica, Sovello will transfer valuable experience to the emerging solar industry in Ontario and backing the quality of the products with German engineering and quality control standards, the company said.
Sovello Canada managing director Jan Dressel said that by working with Celestica, the company will be able to deliver high-quality products that fulfill Ontario’s domestic content requirements.
Sovello is an integrated manufacturer of solar wafers, solar cells and solar modules and operates three production plants in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany.
