The solar project encompasses 25 hectares and will be built in Le Castellet in the Departement Var.
First Solar will provide approximately 150,000 solar modules for the construction of the power plant, while Power One will supply 35 central inverters.
Phoenix Solar will act as EPC contractor and will be responsible for the planning, delivery and construction of the solar plant.
Construction work has already begun at the plant which is expected to be complete by the end of August, this year.
Upon completion, Phoenix Solar plans to take over the maintenance and operation of the power plant.
The solar facility is expected to supply more than 3,000 households with green electricity in the future.
The electricity fed into the grid will be compensated by energy utility EDF based on the feed-in tariff still valid in 2009, Phoenix Solar said.
