The electricity generated at the plant to be located in Gujarat Solar Park at Charanka will be sold to the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under a power purchase agreement.
Avatar Solar director Falgun Dave said that the solar project will help spur growth and sustainability of the region.
WAAREE Group chairman Hitesh Doshi said that the project will open new avenues in international markets for the Indian manufacturer of solar PV modules.
According to the company, it has a 100MW manufacturing capacity per annum.
