The system consists of 2,400 solar panels and is expected to generate all of the electricity required for Watsonville, making its business more sustainable.
The Solar Company, dealer of dealer of SunPower Elite, assisted Watsonville in completing the installation.
Watsonville Coast owner Gary Manfre pointed to the company’s 44,000ft2 warehouse and 450,000c3 refrigerated space that results in considerable energy costs, which will now be reduced.
"We anticipate saving nearly $120,000 within the first year of production," said Manfre.
