The 205.5MW facility, located in the Jackson County, became fully operational in October 2011.

EDF will hold the remaining stake and its Renewable Services division will continue to provide operations and maintenance services to the project.

Lakefield Project will be Marubeni’s second wind project in North America, after the Raleigh Wind Energy Center Project in Ontario, Canada.

The current transaction will increase Marubeni’s gross generation capacity to 30,091MW and net capacity to 8,938MW.

EDF owns about 1,400MW renewable power generation assets worldwide.
