BMTS’ patented Demolizer technology converts infectious biomedical waste into non-infectious material, thereby providing a means to manage medical waste generated in support of the care of US veterans.
The processed waste is rendered sterile and discarded as common trash eliminating up to 100% of the cost associated with its disposal. Further, the table-top system eliminates the need of using traditional hauling trucks to get rid of the medical waste, thereby providing a cost-effective option to the VA facilities.
Don Cox, president and CEO of BMTS, said: “With 153 large medical centers and over 700 outpatient centers, the VA represents an important opportunity for our company.
“The Demolizer II is an excellent fit for V.A. medical facilities allowing the organization to lower their biomedical waste management costs and increase their facility security.”
