The Flex Power station, which marks the culmination of ten years of development work, is claimed to transform the harmful and often unusable methane gas generated from the landfill into energy with near zero emissions.
According to the company, the Flex Power station, which runs on low Btu gas, contributes to the environment by removing this environmental burden, while using it as a clean energy source.
Joseph Perry, CEO of FlexEnergy, said: “FlexEnergy will allow landfills to generate the power we need while efficiently removing a burden on the environment. Every landfill has this problem, many have attempted to solve it, and this ribbon cutting of our near zero emission system demonstrates that Flex has found the solution.”
