On completion, the plants are expected to deliver around 2MW of power to the national grid.
The Sri Lanka-based company secured relevant approvals for these projects and also signed power purchase agreement with the Ceylon Electricity Board to supply power for a period of 20 years.
HPFL subsidiary HPFL 2 owns the Thebuwana project located at Kuruwita while the Stellenberg project located at Gampola is owned by HPFL 3, another subsidiary.
