Vestas will supply 45 V100-2.0 MW wind turbines for a project that is located 2,500m above sea level in the El Loa province of the Antofagasta region.
Scope of the contract includes delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning of the turbines alongside a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a five-year service and maintenance agreement under active output management scheme.
Vestas Mediterranean president Juan Araluce recalled that the contract was part of the larger 400MW agreement signed back in September 2010.
