The findings of the study qualify Nansulate for the energy efficiency rebate program offered by INFONAVIT, Mexico’s state owned, and largest, mortgage provider. The company’s exclusive Mexican distributor, Distribuidora Nano de America S.A. de C.V., estimates that the initial number of units to utilize Nansulate(R), designated as Nr1 homes, is approximately 600,000 units, with a roof area of 36 square meters per unit.
“The CFE report shows how effective the coating is even though the roof area was the only one insulated, with no other part of the units having any insulation whatsoever,” explained Carlos Medina Erhard, of Distribuidora Nano de America.
