The contract also includes a five-year Service and Availability agreement.
Siemens Wind Power UK onshore sales head Nick Ward remarked that this was the second order that the company had secured from Fred. Olson for UK.
"The new development underlines the importance of renewables for Scotland and the benefits to the community of green energy and local job creation," added Ward.
The Mid Hill Wind Farm is located at Fetteresso near Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire and will employ 25 SWT – 2.3-9.3 trubines.
Twenty of the turbines will peak to a height of 125m while the remaining 5 will peak at 100m each and generate combined electricity to meet the needs of 30,000 average households.
