The contract requires Gamesa to supply and install 50 of its G97-2.0 MW class S turbines at the wind farm.
Gamesa will manage the infrastructure required to install and operate the project. The company will also provide the long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) services.
The wind farm is expected to enter into service in May 2017.
Tata Power, a subsidiary of the Tata Group, currently has 1,380MW of clean energy generating projects.
To date, Gamesa has installed nearly 2,270MW and services over 2,000MW under O&M agreements in India. In addition, the company has developed 1,435MW as wind farm developer.
The company recently installed its first G114-2.0MW turbine in Asia-Pacific, in the Subplu1 wind farm in Thailand.
The G114-2.0MW has been designed to yield more power at reduced cost at low and medium wind speed sites, thus facilitating the low-turbulence wind conditions in Thailand.
The turbine delivery forms a part of an agreement it signed with Chinese developer PowerChina ZhongNan for the supply of 30 units of G114-2.0 MW turbines at three wind farms.
