The new addition to the company’s LabStats suite allows lab managers to control all of their computers from one central location, thus eliminating the need to configure each computer individually with power saving setting.

JuicePress, a full featured power management software that keeps computers turned on when needed, and powered down when idle, is suitable for use in university computer labs that are estimated to waste 300,000kWh of electricity per year.

The software features Power Schedules and Power Schemes that provide detailed reports about the power consuming behavior of computers.

Based on the report provided by Power Schemes, users can tailor computer energy consumption, including individualized power settings for peak or low usage hours, waking up and shutting down, and computer maintenance based on how computers are being used.

The users can also utilize Power Schedules to arrange Power Schemes in a calendar set by an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis – all customized to fit with a lab’s needs to reduce computer energy consumption.
