The solar power project was constructed by Greece-based Biosar Energy, and was equipped with solar photovoltaic (PV) modules developed by Yingli Green Energy.
The solar project is expected to produce enough energy to power about 3,700 homes in the area.
The power plant was financed on a long term, non-recourse basis by the project finance team of Piraeus Bank.
