Under the contract, the company will supply and commission 100 units of its V110-2.0 MW turbines at the project. The details about the project have not been disclosed.
The delivery and commissioning of the turbines is scheduled for the third and fourth quarter of 2016 respectively.
The contract also includes a five-year customized Active Output Management service agreement.
Vestas also secured a 36MW wind turbine supply contract recently from IMPAX Asset Management.
The contract will require Vestas to supply 11 V112-3.3 MW wind turbines for the Glanaruddery wind farm in County Kerry.
The wind turbines will be delivered and installed in the third quarter of 2016, with commissioning expected in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Vestas said that its 3MW platform is ideal for the Irish market, as it meets the country’s demanding grid connection requirements.
Impax Asset Management director Victor Juttmann said: "This is our fifth project in partnership with Vestas, and we are happy to build on our strong relationship with them. The V112-3.3 MW turbine meets the stringent local requirements, and we believe that it is the most suitable turbine for the wind resources at this particular site."
