Installed in September 2006, the facility includes 115 units of V82-1.65MW wind turbine, and is located near Kincardine.

Under the seven-year contract, Vestas will provide a full range of services to maximize the turbines’ energy production.

Vestas’ services include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, replacement of major components and spare parts, and a surveillance system called VestasOnline, which allows the company to monitor and remotely control the turbines.

The wind power project is expected to deliver enough electricity to power about 57,000 homes in Ontario.
