The new lighting product is engineered in accordance with UL 924 (emergency lighting equipment) and NFPA 70 (national electrical code), and goes through rigorous quality testing through BIRNS’ NRC 10CFR50, App. B-compliant Quality Assurance system.

The emergency lighting system has an advanced voltage regulator, integral sealed, rechargeable maintenance-free batteries that never require the addition of water or electrolytic solution, and fuses that can be replaced in 60 seconds.

The new wall mounted lighting system provides in excess of 24 hours of continuous, LED light in the case of power loss in nuclear power facilities.

The company claimed its BIRNS Emergency Light Fixture-LED is capable of withstanding a major earthquake.

The system has seven conduit knockouts and a voltage input range, and can be tailored for custom applications with up to three lampheads.
