Westport, located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, has deployed its EV charging station as part of CL&P’s EV research project, a comprehensive study of plug-in car recharging in New England.
A Chevy Volt can be fully charged in four hours using Westport Level II, 240V charging station, and Volts can also be charged using a regular 120V wall socket, however, charging takes roughly double that time.
Clipper Creek manufactured the Westport EV charging station equipment, which is outfitted with a Liberty PlugIns keypad for authorized use.
