The project is a part of Build, Operate, Own and Transfer basis (BOOT) agreement with the state government to develop three hydro power projects, while the other two projects include 54MW Bhasmey Hydro Electric Project and 71MW Sada Mangder Project.

Commenting on the project, Gati founder and CEO Mahendra Agarwal said that the commissioning of the hydro power project in the state of Sikkim is a major milestone for the company.

Chuzachen Hydro Project is directly connected to the Central Transmission Utility through a 24Km dedicated transmission line and will be able to deliver power across the country.
