The LED lighting retrofit project, which is expected to result in an 80% reduction in electrical demand and electrical consumption for Best Buy, will begin with the initial rollout of 3,150 replacement lamps that will be delivered this month to 50 Best Buy locations.

The CRS replacement of LED lamps includes patent pending hardware and software components having a driver system technology that allows them to be dimmable while still maintaining high lumen output.

The company’s automated production lines enable customization of the LED lights leading to the right product to fit the specific needs of both general lighting and lighting replacement installations, facilitating optimal energy usage.

CRS Electronics president Scott Riesebosch said that Best Buy is one of the leaders in making green technology decisions to reduce environmental impact and after testing the LED MR16 product in their retail environment, the decision to reduce energy while maintaining quality was easy.
