As per the agreed terms, the company will supply 27 units of wind turbines for the community wind power facilities.
Of all the wind turbines, 13 turbines will be of type 3.2M114 with 123 meters hub height, 11 3.2M114 with 93 meters hub height, two MM92 with 80 meters hub height, and one MM92 with 100 meters hub height to the project.
REpower noted that the delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled in 2014.
The deal includes a service contract for 15 years runtime with an option for five additional years.
Commenting on the deal, REpower Systems CEO Andreas Nauen said that the community wind farms are gaining demand as they enable residents to cover their electricity support with their own wind farm.
Meanwhile, REpower Systems has a community wind farm under construction in Buchen which will be the biggest community wind farm in Baden-Wuerttemberg and the first large-scale community wind farm in Australia with two MM82 turbines.
REpower Systems offers project specific solutions in the areas of turnkey, service and maintenance, transport and installation, as well as foundation planning and construction.
Currently, Suzlon has approximately 22,000MW of wind energy capacity installed, operations across 32 countries and a workforce of over 13,000.
