Cetin hydropower project, located on the Botan River, is expected to cost about EUR500m.

The power project is planned with two dams and two power stations, and will have an average annual production of 1.4TWh, enough to provide electricity to 460,000 Turkish homes.

Cetin Main will have an installed capacity of 401MW and a significant reservoir, Cetin Lower is planned with an installed capacity of 116MW.

A joint venture between the two Turkish constructors Yuksel and Ilci will be responsible for the civil works, while the Austrian firm Andritz Hydro will act as contractor for electro-mechanical equipment for the power project.

The Cetin hydropower project is expected to be completed in 2015.
