Regional Utilities of Walton County, Florida has selected Evoqua, along with its sales partner AAG Electric Motors & Pumps, for a project to expand their biological wastewater treatment facility situated in the coastal resort community of Point Washington.
Under the project, an existing Evoqua Omniflo Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) will be expanded from 2.0 million gallons per day (MGD) to 4.0 MGD.
The project will enable the plant to meet future effluent limits for suspended solids, nitrogen, and phosphorus
The process design, flow analysis and permitting for the project will be provided by the consulting engineering firm Preble-Rish.
The project will include the installation of additional components such as two rotating drum screens, grit removal system, and an influent bypass system.
A travelling bridge filter will be replaced with tertiary disc filtration system and chlorine contact basin will be modified to accommodate high level disinfection system.
Davco field service team from Evoqua will work with a concrete tank supplier to provide field-erected SBR treatment tanks.
The team will also install the equipment at the facility and provide field service and commissioning of the plant expansion.
The project is scheduled to be completed by summer of 2016.
