In addition to Ruilin M1, China BAK also supplies its lithium-ion phosphate batteries for Chery’s other EVs, including Ruilin X1, Chery A5, Ruilin G5 and an additional model of its M1 series.
China BAK anticipates revenue and market share growth from its EV business in the future as it gradually increases production of its proprietary high-power cells to meet anticipated market demand.
China BAK CEO Xiangqian Li said that the successful launch of Chery’s electric vehicles marks an important milestone for commercial use of China BAK’s lithium-ion phosphate batteries in the EV industry.
“The high-quality of our products backed by our world-class research capabilities has facilitated our expansion in the EV market,” Li said.
