The new Mei Gat system will provide secondary treatment filtration of wastewater for use in irrigation over a wide spread area across Northern Israel and also provide filtration for water at a pressure of 25 bar.
The new wastewater treatment system designed for high pressure irrigation project marks the environmental responsibility of Amiad to address the problem of chronic water shortages in countries like Israel.
Amiad head of marketing for industry and water treatment in Northern Israel, Eytan Schleider said that the filters in the Mei Gat system not only have to withstand very high pressure, but they have to simultaneously filter wastewater.
“This presented us with a unique challenge, and we are very proud of the solution we designed to facilitate the recycling and re-use of wastewater,” Schleider said.
