The facility will use 22,800 Solon Blue 220/16 polycrystalline photovoltaic modules, and will be constructed on an 11.4-hectare area.
The solar plant in Scheibenberg, will generate enough electricity for about 1,330 four-person households and save around 3,200 tons of CO2 each year.
Green Energy 3000 managing director Andreas Renker said through the use of high-quality system components, the company expect an annual yield of around 5.3 million kWh.
"The company has also planned further projects with SOLON for the coming year," Renker said.
TNP Mitteldeutsche Anlagen Leasing from Leipzig was responsible for the business management agreement and organized the financing through Deutsche Kreditbank.
Green Energy 3000 is the general contractor.
Solon is a solar module manufacturer in Europe and suppliers of solar system technology for large-scale roof-mounted and ground-mounted systems.
