The contract covers supply and installation of 18 N117 2.4MW turbines and construction of the foundations for the Ullersdorf project.
The low-wind turbines will be attached to 141m towers.
The plant is expected to generate 115,900MWh of output per year. Once finished, it will be able to power nearly 29,000 four-person households and reduce nearly 87,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
Work on the foundations will start in early 2014 and the plant is scheduled to go into operation in October 2014.
Nordex board member Lars Krogsgaard said that the the contract shows that the company’s turbines make low-wind sites economically viable.
"In addition, we have in STEAG New Energies a partner by our side which has set itself clear growth targets for renewable energies," Krogsgaard added.
