The plant, which is located on the Routh Estate in Beverley, features 12 Repower MM82 turbines and generates enough power to fulfill the demands of over 15,750 homes.

John Laing renewable energy managing director Ross McArthur said that the company is delighted to have completed the acquisition of Hall Farm wind farm from Santander and Blue energy.

"The facility is our fourth wind farm investment in two weeks and reinforces our position in the renewable energy market," McArthur added.

"In over 12 months, John Laing has grown its portfolio of wind and solar PV assets, both operational and under construction, to over 160MW of generating capacity, and we have an exciting pipeline for significant further expansion beyond that."

In 2012, Santander and Blue Energy completed all the project-related financial transactions and delivered it for operation and maintenance (O&M) service to REpower in July 2013.

Repower will continue O&M to provide O&M services on the facility.
