The Zeytineli wind farm is to be installed on the hill rows of Alacaty-Cebme in the province of Izmir in the first quarter of 2013.
The coastal location allows the turbines to generate a combined annual yield of around 165GWh, equivalent to an above-average capacity factor of 38%.
Bilgin Enerji vice president Tolga Bilgin said with the hybrid design layout consisting of both N90 and N100 gamma generation turbines, Nordex provided the optimum energy yield for the company’s Zeytineli wind farm project.
The financial partners for the wind farm are BayernLB and Euler Hermes Kreditversicherung.
In addition to the conventional sale of electricity, Bilgin Enerji also plans to market carbon credits from the project.
