Under the contract, valued at about EUR30m, Metso also agreed to provide services and parts for the hydro facility located at the Xingu River, Para State, in the northern region of the country.

Metso´s scope of delivery will comprise three automated large crushing plants, two portable plants and two mobile Lokotrack plants.

The order has been included in Mining and Construction third and fourth quarter 2011 orders received.

CCBM was selected by Norte Energia for the construction of the Belo Monte hydroelectric power plant.

Norte Energia is the company responsible for the implementation, construction and operation of the project UHE Belo Monte.
