The wind power project consists of 95 units Siemens 2.3MW turbine and three units of Siemens 3MW direct-drive turbines.
During the development and construction phases, the project received millions of funding from the company.
Substantial completion of the facility was reached at the end of 2011.
The Crossroads Wind Farm will produce enough electricity to power about 70,000 average homes and will offset about 400,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year.
Oklahoma Gas & Electric Retail Energy vice president Jesse Langston said with the completion of Crossroads, OG&E can meet about 10% of its customers’ energy needs with wind generation.
The company also served as the Balance of Plant contractor, maintaining construction rights when it sold Crossroads Wind Farm to OG&E in August 2010.
