Seaproof Solutions has secured a contract from Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors to supply cable protection systems (CPS) for the Norther offshore wind farm project in Belgium.

The Norther offshore wind farm, that will be constructed in the Belgian North Sea, 23 km off the Belgian port of Zeebruges, consists of 44 wind turbines and has a capacity of 370 MW.

The deal includes the design and supply of 89 cable protection systems for the inner array grid and the Export Cables.

The contract marks the 16th offshore wind farm project for Seaproof Solutions, which has supplied over 1200 cable protection systems.

Seaproof Solutions has over 25 years of experience in providing protection systems for subsea cable, umbilical and flexible pipe for offshore applications.

In March, Seaproof Solutions secured a contract to supply cable protection systems (CPS) for the 1.2GW Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm in the UK.

The contract was awarded by Dong Energy Wind Power and covers the design and supply of 248 cable protection systems for the inner array grid submarine cables.
