German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received an order from EDF Energies Nouvelles to supply 10 wind turbines with a total capacity of 36MW for two projects in France.
The two projects include Espiers wind farm and Guilleville wind park, that are constructed 100km off Paris.
The Espiers wind farm comprises five N117/3600 turbines, while Guilleville wind park consists of four N117/3600 turbines and one N100/3300 turbine.
Under the contract, Nordex will offer both the wind farms with technical service through a service station that is located close to the wind facilities.
Nordex SE chief sales officer Patxi Landa said: “We view this signing as the commencement of a closer partnership with EDF Energies Nouvelles, which is planning to expand its international wind power activities. With our products, we will be able to support the company in achieving this goal efficiently and on a cost-optimised basis.”
Nordex, founded in 1985 and headquartered in Germany, has over 5000 employees, with an installed wind power capacity of around 21GW in over 25 markets.
Its production network consists of plants in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the US and India.
Recently, Nordex has secured orders to supply wind turbines with a total capacity of 72MW for projects in Turkey.
Under the contract, the company will supply 16 N131/3600 wind turbines to Pakmem Elektrik for its Cerit wind farm, in the spring of 2018. Pakmem Elektrik also agreed for a premium service deal for a period of 15 years.
