IndianOil (IOC) is expected to import approximately 13.14 million tonnes of sweet low-sulfur crude and 22.8 million tonnes of other grades of crude, according to a senior company source.
The company and its subsidiaries have a total processing capacity of around 60 million tonnes per year or around 1.2 million barrels per day (bpd).
IOC will reportedly be processing 46.5 million tonnes of crude in 2008, a decrease compared to the 47.4 million tonnes tonnes refined in 2007, due to routine maintenance at some of its units.
IOC will primarily buy its imports through its term contracts, while some quantity is also expected to be obtained through tenders.
