In this newly created position, Mr Malone will be responsible for operations services, network services, gas transmission and storage, employee training and development in energy operations, and safety. He will report to Frank Johnson, senior vice president of energy operations.
The utility’s energy operations division is responsible for operating and maintaining the electric and natural gas delivery systems that serve its customers.
Mr Malone joined Consumers Energy in 1984 and held a series of increasingly responsible positions with the company. He was named director of engineering for the utility’s Palisades nuclear plant in 2000.
Mr Johnson said: Dan has established a record of success as a manager and leader throughout his career and brings a wealth of experience, expertise and knowledge to this new position. His addition to the energy operations team will provide even more focus for our ongoing commitment to safety.
