Aker Solutions will perform all engineering and design work and will replace the existing cement units in order to increase equipment capacities. It will also fulfill new requirements and guidelines from StatoilHydro related to the working environment and integrated operations.
Design and procurement work will start immediately and will be performed at Aker Solutions’s regional office in Trondheim, Norway. Fabrication activities will start in January 2009. Offshore work will start in early spring 2009. The contract party for StatoilHydro is Aker Offshore Partner.
