Alexander Medvedev told reporters in Moscow that Gazprom predicts revenues in the region of $33 billion, a 27% increase on the 2005 level of $26 billion. However he admitted that the company did not intend to increase the volume of gas exported materially above the 151 billion cubic meters seen in 2005.

RIA Novosti also reported that Mr Medvedev unveiled Gazprom’s ambitions to increase its market capitalization towards $300 billion within two to three years, if all goes according to plan. Foreign investment in the majority state-owned gas giant has been made easier as some of the rules surrounding the trading of its shares have been relaxed.
