The Longs Champs wind farm consists of five 1.67MW wind turbines, for a total capacity of 8.35MW, producing some 20 million kWh of electricity per year.

This renewable energy source corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of close to 9,600 users.

The startup of the Longs Champs facility is reportedly in line with the Suez Group’s Grenelle de l’environnement commitments, to provide 18% of Europe’s renewable energy capacity starting in 2009, including 2,019MW additional wind-generated power in France by 2014.
