The Harvest B30 biodiesel can reportedly be used in vehicles powered by Peugeot-Citroen’s HDi family of diesel engines, which was introduced in 1998, without any maintenance concerns. The Harvest B30 fuel is available at more than 50 of Morrisons’s supermarket forecourts across the UK.
The news source noted that the 1.4, 1.6, 2.0, 2.2 and 2.7-liter HDi-series diesel engines have been jointly developed by the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group and Ford, and power the UK’s best-selling cars like the Ford Focus, S-Max, Mondeo, Fiesta, the Land Rover Freelander and the Mini.
The Harvest B30 is a blend of 30% biodiesel and 70% conventional diesel, with the biodiesel component being produced in equal parts from recycled cooking oil and rapeseed oil, according to Morrisons fuel director Phil Maud. The retailer is planning to open biodiesel pumps at every new filling station it opens.
