One three-year contract is with Chevron Indonesia, who will use the wellheads and trees for a field development in Sumatra, Indonesia.
The other three-year contract is with BG Exploration and Production India. This is for delivery of surface trees and wellheads in connection with the petroleum operations in the Panna-Mukta and Mid & South Tapti fields (PMT Fields) offshore India’s west coast.
Project management and manufacturing will be performed at Aker Solutions facility in Batam, Indonesia.
Egil Martinussen, senior vice president of Asia Pacific operations at Aker Solutions, said: Although similar in terms of deliverables, these contracts are symbolically very different. The contract with Chevron Indonesia is a breakthrough contract for us in Indonesia, while we have delivered surface equipment in connection with the operations in the PMT Fields dating back to 1996.
