Mr Clement, who is an executive director and COO of the company, has been the acting CEO since June 2008. He joined the company in 1997 and has held a number of positions including CFO, company secretary and commercial manager.
Mr Clement has over 28 years of oil and gas industry experience, including banking sector exposure, having held engineering and project management, commercial and supervisory roles with Exxon, Ampolex and AIDC.
Andrew Love, chairman of Roc Oil, said: The company is entering into an exciting time in its history with record cash flows being generated and the Anzon takeover more than doubling reserves. The board has completed an independent external evaluation of candidates for this important role.
