The contract for the manufacture and supplies of the turbine was signed between Kaluga Turbine Works (KTZ) and Ekobana (Lithuania) in July 2007. The price of the contract is over E2.5 million.
The turbine to be installed at the thermal power plant in the territory of Viru Keemia Grupp slate plant is a development of a set of steam turbines of KTZ production of 25MW to 35MW capacity that make the basis of the native turbine production.
