The proposal of increase in the electric base rates by Kentucky Utilities would increase the monthly bill of a residential customer by 30.81%, who uses 1,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity. That means the increase would be from $70.05 to $91.64, amounting to $21.59.
The proposed increase was suspended through October 31, 2009 by The SCC. The company may implement proposed rates for service rendered on and after November 1 on an interim basis, subject to refund with interest.
Doing business as Old Dominion Power Company in Virginia, Kentucky Utilities provides power related services to 30,000 retail customers in Russell, Lee, Wise, Dickenson and Scott counties.
