UPRVUNL is constructing a Stage D, 2 x 500MW Anpara Thermal Power Project under expansion scheme, which is scheduled to be completed in 31 months. NLC is constructing 2 x 500MW Project at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu in India. Developed by a Joint Venture between NLC & Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), the green-field project is set to be complete unit 1 within 29 months and unit 2 within 33 months.
L&T’s scope of work for both the contracts includes basic & detail engineering; supply, erection of mechanical, electrical & instrumentation works; complete civil & structural works; testing & commissioning. The company’s ECC Division the Metallurgical Material Handling & Water Operating Company (MMHW) would implement the project.
