The Borssele Wind Farm Zone sites III & IV will generate electricity required to power approximately 775,000 households.
The Borssele III is expected to have a minimum capacity of 330MW while Borssele IV will have at least 350MW generation capacity.
Upon completion of the bids assessment before the end of the year, the selected bidders with the lowest biding price will receive the subsidies and permits for the wind farms.
The projects are part of the country’s plan to have 4500MW of installed offshore wind capacity in 2023.
It will also contribute to the objective of the Energy Agreement, which aims for 16% of renewable power in the national energy mix.
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency, on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, is running this bidding round
Earlier, Danish state-owned utility Dong Energy won right to build the Borssele I and II parks, each with 350MW capacity, with an average bid strike price of €0.0727 cents per kilowatt hour.
Dong Energy executive vice-president and wind power head Samuel Leupold earlier said: "With Borssele 1 and 2, we're crossing the levelized cost of electricity mark of €100/MWh for the first time and are reaching a critical industry milestone more than three years ahead of time. This demonstrates the great potential of offshore wind."
