Located in blocks 6507/7/9 and 6507/8 in production license 435, the field, previously known as Zidane, is operated by DEA Norge with a 40% interest while other partners include Edison, Maersk and OMV each holding 20% stake.
Under the contract, Technip will be responsible for the fabrication of smaller structures, the 12/16-inch pipe-in-pipe production flowline, the 12-inch gas export pipeline and the installation of pipelines as well as all subsea structures and umbilical for the Dvalin field.
DEA Norge managing director Hans-Hermann Andreae said: “We will now start to collaborate closely on the details with all companies we have on board, to continue the efficient work on the project.
“The Dvalin license has awarded contracts with a value of €530m over the past days. These contracts will create hundreds of jobs in a demanding time for the supplier industry.”
Scheduled to commence production in 2020, the Dvalin field is planned to be developed with a four wells subsea template, which is connected to the Heidrun platform.
Technip Norge managing director Odd Strømsnes said: “We are very excited to be given the opportunity to support DEA Norge AS in their first field development in Norway.”
According to estimates, the field holds recoverable reserves of around 18.2 billion cubic meters gas and 0.4 million cubic meters of condensate.
Technip plans to use its vessels, including the lay vessel Deep Energy for pipelay and North Sea Atlantic for umbilical installation.
Offshore installation work under the contract is scheduled to be carried out in 2018 and 2019.
